Monday - Friday: 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. Saturday & Sunday: Closed 62 Plus Program The city of Clearwater Utility Customer Service department offers the "62 Plus Program" to assist seniors and customers who are disabled and on a fixed income avoid late payment charges on their city of Clearwater utility bills. Call (727) 562-4600. File of Life Program Offered by the Office on Aging to city of Clearwater for residents age 50 or older. A File of Life provides critical information to emergency personnel including: name, medications, medical conditions, allergies, blood type, emergency contact and physician's name. File of Life stickers placed at participants' front doors direct emergency personnel to easily accessible folders containing patient data sheet. The packets are free to city residents and available at the Aging Well Center. Bilingual packets are available. Call (727) 724-3070. Housing Assistance The city of Clearwater's Housing division provides income-eligible citizens with down payment and closing-cost assistance, rehabilitation loans and assistance with retrofitting homes to increase accessibility. Call (727) 562-4030. Smoke Alarm Program Clearwater Fire & Rescue participates in the Smoke Alarm "Giveaway" Program for those Clearwater residents who are unable to purchase an alarm. Great park and recreation spot with a big time skateboard park, large and well outfitted playground, indoor basketball courts, community center, water fountains, athletic fields, and walking path out in Town and Country. The park has lovely trees and leaves. Nicefamilies and kiddos use the park and its a great place to relax, play.outside, play inside, shoot hoops, skateboard, picnic, breathe and go for a walk. Lovely. Jackson Springs Community Center, along with Jackson Springs Skate Park, are great places for kids, teens, adults, and seniors to hang out. It is also the home of the Deadlifting Grannies, a group of active, older women who prove that age is just a number. Don't challenge them, because they can pump iron with the best of them. Check out some of the features found at Jackson Springs. Jackson Springs Skate Park (aka Northwest Skate Park) is the county's third skate park and opened in 2014. This modern 13,000 square foot park features both transitional elements and street skating. Features include granite ledges, rails, a key hole, and a snake run style bowl course. Surfing lovers will feel like they're riding the waves on this fluid course.
